Time: Fortnightly, Saturday 10am
Duration: 3 hours
Location: North Adelaide
If you’re looking for a new hobby and are in a creative mood, crochet is just the thing for you. Learn how to wield a hook and create something special in this Classie course for beginners.
This course is designed for those who have had little to no experience with a crochet hook. You will learn basic stitches, such as double and treble crochets, chain stitches, slip stitches, and their abbreviations; how to change colours; and even try your hand at a granny square towards the end of the class.
Class sizes are kept small so each participant will have a chance to interact with the host on a one-to-one basis. Participants will be provided with all the equipment on the day, including a hook, sample patterns, and a ball of yarn.
A free beverage is also included as part of the course price. Bookings are essential.
Any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Refund Policy: Full refunds given with 5 days notice. Dates can be changed with 3 days notice.
Please be advised that although we make every effort to ensure that we accurately represent Classie's service and products, venues are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to make changes to all classes.
Wonderful class - Ali was very friendly, very patient and an excellent teacher. I didn't think I could achieve what I did in 1 lesson. I'm now addicted to making granny squares 😊 5/5 by Lynda Reiss 13-8-2017

I like the idea of a small group in a cafe but of course that comes with limited opportunities to talk to the group as a whole for the instructor - hence have to wait for the teacher to come around each time. 4/5 by Sue Morris 23-7-2017
Katie was a.patient and helpful teacher, she has taught me.the basics of a skill that I thought I could not learn being a left handed hook user. The other ladies in the class.were lovely and I think that all of us would hav left happy that we had made a start in our crocheting journey. 5/5 by Carol Overweel 22-7-2017
I really enjoyed the class, it was interesting 4/5 by Heather Grant 8-7-2017
Wonderful kind and thoughtful teacher balancing time between participants....delightful venue and nice people. 5/5 by Anne Winnall 26-6-2017
The instructor (Katie) was great. She helped each participant on a one on one basis which was extremely beneficial. The number of participants in the class was ideal - manageable by the teacher and good that participants were able to interact easily (although most of us were too busy crocheting to chat too much!). Are there other crocheting classes other than the one for beginners? Many thanks indeed for a most enjoyable class on Saturday 24th June. Vicky Baird 5/5 by Vicky Baird 26-6-2017

Ali our teacher was wonderful. She was so patient, teaching us beginners how to crochet. Also like how class was located near the city so it was easy to get to as well as not having to pay carpark fees
Thank you once again caAli

Was good fun -we really enjoyed and even mastered the basics 4/5 by Debra Rillo 22-1-2017
Very enjoyable. Our teacher was very patient and clam which helped a lot! For myself as a left hander, Katie was able to show me everything left handed. In this case as a complete beginner, it meant the difference between me having a finished and partly edged square completed, and a third attempt with hairy wool with a large surge of plummeting confidence!! Great to work with such a lovely teacher. 5/5 by Emily 21-1-2017
It was a really good experience.
Katie was very helpful and when I get home I was able to continue my work! 4/5 by Maria Louvari 9-1-2017
The host/teacher Ali was lovely, informed us effectively on process to crochet. We were lucky to have a smaller groups and this provided additional attention. The venue was suitable. The group mix was lucky to have common interests. The equip and materials were great for beginners. 5/5 by Jo Stolz 10-12-2016

We had a great morning under the tutelage of Katie. I went with my mother in law and step daughter and we all loved the relaxed and instructive crochet class. The venue was excellent and the class number small. We will definitely be back! 5/5 by Paula dunworth 19-11-2016
