If you’re looking for a new hobby and are in a creative mood, crochet is just the thing for you. Learn how to wield a hook and create something special in this Classie course for absolute beginners.
This course is designed for those who have had little to no experience with a crochet hook. You will learn basic stitches, such as double and treble crochets, chain stitches, slip stitches, and their abbreviations. You will then apply the basics to start your very own Granny Square.
Class sizes are kept small so each participant will have a chance to interact with the host on a one-to-one basis. Participants will be provided with all the equipment on the day, including a crochet hook, yarn and lesson plan.
Bookings are essential.
This class requires a minimum of five people to proceed.
Classes are open to everyone from the age of 12 onwards. Parental supervision is required for all children under the age of 16.
Refund Policy: Full refunds given with 5 days notice. Dates can be changed with 3 days notice.

The instructor Manna was exceptionally patient and a good teacher.. I enjoyed the class immensely. I got a real thrill when I completed my first granny square! 4/5 by T R I S H. S I N G E R 14-8-2017
I really enjoyed this event, the teacher had great knowledge and ability to teach people of all ages and abilities. She was very patient and helpful. 4/5 by Maria Anagnostopoulos 30-7-2017
A good introduction to crochet for absolute beginners. The added drink was a nice touch and it was good that we had a small pack to take home and keep. 4/5 by Tanima 18-7-2017
Manna was extremely helpful and patient and gave very clear instructions that were easy to follow. To my surprise I was able to pick it up quite quickly and had 2 squares completed by the time the class finished. Would definietly recommend to others and would love to see a follow up class to learn a few more techniques a tips.
The venue was FREEZING! - we all left our coats on, even our beanies. It was also extremely noisy. The noise of the pub plus the pub music plus the other ladies in the class counting ('...that's two into there plus three plus another one....') made it really hard to concentrate. 5/5 by Rosemary Keogh 17-7-2017
Manna was an excellent teacher 5/5 by susan herborn 16-7-2017

It was okay. A few too many people for the instructor to spend time with people like me who were struggling to get the hang of it. 3/5 by Sandra Barnes 2-7-2017
Good however did not appear to be aimed at beginners, rather those with some experience 3/5 by Irene Dziubek 19-6-2017
The class was great in terms of size etc. but the venue was not a good choice. There was not much space, it was not particularly comfortable and the music was far, far too loud. The teacher was good but softly spoken making it hard to hear her. 4/5 by Madeline Kilby 18-6-2017
Keira was wonderful. She spread her time evenly between class goers, very patient and fun. Great venue. Had an awesome time the 3 hours flew by. 5/5 by Alexandra Walker 5-6-2017
Thought the class was really helpful. Kiera was a great teacher and very patient. She coped well with a group that had varying levels of experience. The location of the class was great. Nice and close to the train station. 4/5 by Kierann Bielski 4-6-2017
