Time: Weekly, Sunday 10.30 am
Duration: 2.5 hours
If you’re looking for a new hobby and are in a creative mood, crochet is just the thing for you. Learn how to wield a hook and create something special in this Classie course for absolute beginners.
This course is designed for those who have had little to no experience with a crochet hook. You will learn basic stitches, such as double and treble crochets, chain stitches, slip stitches, and their abbreviations; how to change colours; and even try your hand at a granny square towards the end of the class.
Class sizes are kept small so each participant will have a chance to interact with the host on a one-to-one basis. Participants will be provided with all the equipment on the day, including an aluminium hook, sample patterns, and a ball of yarn.
Come along to a Classie course and learn another lifelong skill.
Please note: This class requires a minimum of five people to proceed. Bookings are essential.
Refund Policy: Full refunds given with 5 days notice. Dates can be changed with 3 days notice.

I really appreciated the effort our instructor took to teach herself how to crochet left handed in order to teach my friend and I. I was definitely slower to pick it up, but have wowed to keep practicing. I did find it excellent for improving my ability to focus on task at hand. 5/5 by Shani Hodgins 13-4-2016

Oh what fun!!! Just loved the professional organised way that Kaitlin managed 9 beginners hook into making a granny square. We knew nothing to start and she took us on a loopy cruise. After two and a half hours we all had achieved our goal of learning how to crochet!! Do it. You'll love it 5/5 by Eva Gerber 4-4-2016

Was very excited about joining this class when I was planning a weekend visit to Sydney - and it turned out to be a wonderful relaxing morning. While I had tried in the past to make a granny square, I had just never 'got it'. However, now am working towards the blanket I have always dreamed of. The instructor did a wonderful job, and was definitely supportive and encouraging of everyone, at all different skill levels. The venue was a lovely little restaurant, with very good coffee (however if I returned, I would definitely try one of the delicious pastry treats). Overall I am so glad I signed up -- 5 stars 5/5 by Alison Welsh 26-1-2016
