Knitting is a craft that has withstood the test of time because it is versatile, practical and easy to learn. It is also a relaxing social activity and great for keeping idle hands busy during casual conversations.

This course will start at the very beginning and caters to beginners of all ages. Youíll start with the basics, working through to your first finished piece under your hostís tutelage.

Class sizes are kept small so each participant will have a chance to interact with the host on a one-to-one basis. Participants will be provided with all the equipment on the day, including a set of bamboo knitting needles, a wool darning needle, and a ball of yarn.

A free beverage is also included as part of the course price. Bookings are essential.

Any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

If you've already completed this class but feel unsure about commencing a project, the Knitting: Beginners Extension class is available to grow your confidence.

It was really good - we did not expect it be this fun. Diana was able to spend time with each of us and able to show us how to knit at our own pace

The knitting class was just what I need to start knitting. Diana was very informative and helpful. It was a good sized class and well organised. I wasn't really able to finish the beanie in the class but I was able to unravel what I've done in class, start over and complete it by myself at home keeping in mind what Diana has taught us and the tips she shared. Now I can't wait to start on a scarf. Loved it!

I bought my 9 year old granddaughter to the classes and found Diana to be an excellent teacher. As there were only 2 people in the group, this was a bonus! Maybe with 10 people in the group progress may have been a little slower. Being close to public transport made it easy to get to.

Good fun! The 3 hours flew by. Diana was very helpful and gave her time to anybody that needed it. Gave us some great info about how to shop for wool and some info about troubleshooting when we make little mistakes.

This was really well done. We learnt how to knit and even made a beanie it the class to see what you can achieve in a short time. Location was good, not too noisy and plenty of space for the grouo

Even though I'm very new to this knitting, the instructor was patient enough for me to manage all those beginner's skills. Super Fun!

This class was truly lovely. Our instructor, Diana, was patient, explicit in her instruction and very helpful. The atmosphere of the cafe added to enjoyable experience of the class.

It was the 'funnest' knitting class (according to my daughter Lily aged 10). Lily was worried about learning with adults - she has already had three people 'fail' in teaching her to knit. Dianne was really great at showing the basics and helping when 'mistakes' were made. I liked how Dianne was flexible. Lily wanted to make a scarf, not a hat and Dianne helped her with a design based on the stitches and patterns we learnt. I loved coming home with a completed hat and Lily has a scarf that she is working on. We both came home happy.
