Location: Maylands
Duration: 3 hours

If you’re looking for a new hobby and are in a creative mood, crochet is just the thing for you. Learn how to wield a hook and create something special in this Crochet for Beginners class.

Classie have designed this class for those who have had little to no experience with a crochet hook. You will learn basic stitches, such as double and treble crochets, chain stitches, slip stitches, and their abbreviations; how to change colours; and use your new skills to start on your own granny square.

Class sizes are kept small so each participant will have a chance to interact with the host on a one-to-one basis. Participants will be provided with all the equipment on the day, including a crochet hook, sample patterns, and a ball of yarn.

A standard non-alcoholic beverage is also included as part of the class price.

Any child under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

This class requires a minimum of four participants to go ahead.

Very enjoyable, Cheryl gave us clear instructions on how to crochet and was more than happy to repeat things when I didn't "get it". I was happy we had the time to master the basics before we tried to make anything. I'm looking forward to attending another class to expand on my skills.

We really enjoyed the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Cheryl was a great teacher...demonstrating and explaining the how and why of crochet. We both came away enthused and eager to do another class...maybe intermediate level,, to expand our knowledge.
