If you think youíve seen everything Sydney has to offer, then why not try looking at it through an artistís eyes? It doesnít matter how long itís been since you last put pencil to paper, Sydney will inspire and nurse your inner creative spark.
This class is comprised of mini drawing classes at unique locations around Sydney. Each location is specifically chosen by the host, whether it be for a great view, a particularly interesting landmark, or the opportunity for a lesson in technique.
The itinerary varies from one tour to another, ensuring no two sketch crawls are the same.
Class sizes are kept small so each participant will have a chance to interact with the host on a one-to-one basis. A variety of materials will be provided on the day, including paper, pencils, charcoal, and pastels. A complimentary beverage will be provided at the sit-down venue.
This class is open to all skill levels; no previous artistic experience is necessary. Bookings are essential.
Any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Come along to a Classie course and learn another lifelong skill.
Please note: This class requires a minimum of five people to proceed. Bookings are essential.
Classie workshops will not operate between 18th December 2017- 13th January 2018.
Refund Policy: Full refunds given with 5 days notice. Dates can be changed with 3 days notice.
Please be advised that although we make every effort to ensure that we accurately represent Classie's service and products, venues are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to make changes to all classes.
Tried different media that I would not try on my own. Tried different subjects. Great morning out. Helpful and very pleasant teacher Eloise.
Easy to find. Beautiful locations. Not too far to walk between drawing. 4/5 by Jan Gardner 27-8-2017
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Eloise was friendly and explained the drawing techniques clearly. The pace was just right, as were the three locations we visited. A fun, relaxing way to see some of the city close up. (Would be a great thing to do with out of town visitors, too). 5/5 by Carolyn Alfonzetti 27-8-2017
Wonderful! Eloise was so helpful and inspiring and the weather was great, we had a really enjoyable morning. Thoroughly recommend it. 5/5 by Tammy 26-8-2017

I really enjoyed the relaxing time and wandering around the venues. There is only so much a teacher can show someone in 3 hours. Eloise was lovely and overall I did learn a little about drawing. I have a wonderful day. Thank you. 4/5 by Victoria Deane 8-5-2017
Good way to all come together and learn something was just having some relax fun 4/5 by Christina Kasavetis 6-5-2017

Eloise was a friendly and supportive teacher who ran an organised drawing class. Whilst I had been hoping the focus would be more directed towards urban sketching techniques and working on a sketch crawl through the rocks, the class was definitely more for real beginners. All the same, I really enjoyed myself and got plenty from the session! I would happily recommend it . 4/5 by Mark Friend 15-1-2017
Ok, I would have liked more direction, explanation and guidance as a beginner. It was also a very hot day so we should have been inside. Although an enjoyable day and teacher was very friendly. 3/5 by Sue Davey 14-1-2017
Enjoyed it very much. Learned some new tricks, which is not bad for an old dog! Eloise was great - was able to impart some skill in a re;axed & friendly manner. 4/5 by Michael Kinsella 4-12-2016
I loved the 3 locations and different focuses for sketching. Eloise was great, gave some good tips but didn't interfere too much either 5/5 by Hayley Crawford 4-12-2016
I've been looking forward to doing a class like this for a while. Eloise was very nice and friendly, offering advice and support to all age and skill levels. She encouraged us to try different drawing implements. I felt 'liberated' when I chose a charcoal stick to draw the harbour view. It was lots of fun and a great way to see a part of Sydney that I'd never known about and meet new people. 5/5 by Ria 4-12-2016

The event was really good - the teacher need not bring additional drawing implements as I think most people struggle with a pencil :-) The teach could however bring either pegs to hold paper down and or cheap clipboards. I had my own, but others may not have read the required materials. Sunscreen could be helpful as well. I travelled from a cold state to do this, so I had no real idea of the temperature. 5/5 by Maria Klingner 30-9-2016
I had a lovely day and was great to recapture my creative side! Good selection of materials available and guide was on to answer any questions and give advice. I also appreciated the additional takeaway of the booklet. 4/5 by Abigail Faulkner 29-8-2016
Eloise was a great tour guide & I enjoyed walking around sketching with others. 5/5 by Natasha Felthouse 15-8-2016
Very enjoyable day. 5/5 by Jacqueline White 15-8-2016

Very enjoyable and perfect for a girl's day out 5/5 by Karen Redlich 17-7-2016
A really enjoyable morning with a lovely tutor. Great way to spend a Saturday morning, especially in warm winter sunshine. 4/5 by Laura Chesters 3-7-2016
Thoroughly enjoyable. I was a beginner and I was given advise and guidance. Everything is done with a positive spin. I have already told friends and they were interested in doing the Sketch Crawl. The time just went too fast. Good fun. 5/5 by Cate Hewitt 2-7-2016
